“She stands out among a large number of original musicians, for the quality of her performance, the originality of her song writing and her exceptional ability to engage with and entertain her audience”
Steve Barnes, Artistic Director for the Fairbridge Festival, Perth Australia
“The most fly performance I have been lucky enough to witness. Australia’s 22 year old Looweeze de’Ath stole the night with her humorous style and perfect delivery”
Darren Stanbridge, Hitstate Music Press, Sydney Australia
"Songwriter. Acoustic guitarist. Comedian. These are just a few different ways that you could describe Looweeze de’Ath…..but even the combination of all of these terms do not do her justice. When she stepped up on the stage at Mojo’s, she filled the otherwise bare stage with her refreshing, down-to-earth approach and quirky personality. Beginning her set with “Sadness to Gladness”, a send-up of R&B music, the audience soon realized that fun is what Looweeze de’Ath is all about. “The Penelope Cruz Story” was another crowd-tickler, featuring lyrics such as “Penelope Cruz is a home-wrecking bitch” and “why don't you just stay away from our Nicole”. Her mood soon seeped out into the audience, and before long the crowd was full of smiles and laughter, as a direct result of her humour. Her band later joined her on stage, and the style changed dramatically, from fun-piss-takes to more serious self-reflective songs such as “Into Africa”. Looweeze de’Ath performs a dynamic set, and combined with her charisma and vitality, it isn’t long into the set before she has the audience eating out of the palm of her hand."

“The passionate performance of de’Ath will brighten your day. Immeasurably.”
Inpress Magazine, Melbourne Australia
“Looweeze de’Ath plays girly pop folk with an American Beautyesque bite. She shut up the rowdy kids at this rock concert with entertaining and sweetly confronting songs. She is far more controlled, intelligent and interesting than her eastern states counterpart Diana Ahaid. “Love Handles for President” was an excellent witty anti image song. Very cool. In fact all of her songs and indeed this young performer are very cool.”
Stephen Parkins, Hype Magazine, Perth Australia
“The confidence the music industry seems to have in Looweeze de’Ath and her album Catherine Snapped is not unfounded. The young perfomer, already a seasoned soloist around Australia has crafted a neat line between songs of conscience and introspection as well as songs aimed at nothing more than the funny bone.”
Polly Coufous, Xpress Magazine, Perth Australia
“ Looweeze de’Ath picked up a guitar tossed aside by tow disinterested sisters, and hasn’t looked back since. At the age of twenty she has been writing material for four years and last week finished an extensive tour of Australia, taking her quirky mix of folk pop to lands far and wide. I talked with her to find out what inspired her to write songs such as Babe With a Whip and I Think I Killed Laura Palmer to be found on her newly released CD Catherine Snapped. “The smallest things inspire me, “ she says “It’s often that I’ll be driving along and my mind just wanders across a song. I look at the world and I don’t see it in black, white, grey or green, I see it in songs”. Make sure you catch Looweeze de’Ath while she is home, she is a fiery little gem”
Perth Weekly, Perth Australia
“She might be armed with only an acoustic guitar and a remarkably versatile voice, but Looweeze de’Ath is no po-faced folky, despite picking up a lot of work on the festival circuit. Far from it. Looweeze has one of those voices that, like, say, someone like Kate Bush, allows her to throw a melody around to be playful with a song. But she can also rock it out when she wants to which must have helped her win Western Australia’s top Solo Performer Award last year and also on the brilliant “Catherine Snapped” record that captures this young performers energy and humour perfectly."
